According to information published on the official account of Github of Cardano, The new version for nodes was released today approximately four hours ago. According to the publication, it is the “first node that can support crossing the 9.0 hard fork boundary on both the mainnet and long-lived testnets.”

Previously, the co-founder and lead developer of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, indicated that the launch of this version would take place in the coming days. He clarified that such implementation will be necessary for the next network update, better known under the code name Chang, This requires that 70% of the operator nodes approve the changes proposed in the new software.

Back with the node update, among the notes it is indicated that voting will not be enabled for the moment DRep and all governance actions. Version 10.0 is expected to include these properties and handle a full voting protocol.
