Carrefour begins the opening of the more than 40 supermarkets acquired from Supercor
Carrefour has begun in Madrid the renovation and opening of more than 40 supermarkets acquired from Supercorafter completing the operation last April, according to the company in a statement.
Specifically, the brand plans to open progressively between May and August of this year under the banners Carrefour Market, Carrefour Express and Supeco.
In this way, in the city of Madrid it was the first opening with a Carrefour Market supermarket, located on Toledo Street and which has a sales room of 875 square meters, a assortment of 5,300 products, 100 more references and has a staff of 30 workers.

A format that concentrates the advantages of proximity, with the positioning in attractive promotions every day and the breadth of an assortment in which fresh products and the Carrefour brand take center stage.
“The opening of these centers within the Carrefour perimeter represents another step in our commitment to proximity and multi-format. Customers of these new Carrefour establishments will benefit from our commitment to savings, price and quality. With the food transition we facilitate access to the best products for everyone”, the CEO of Carrefour Spain, Elodie Perthuisot.
Carrefour has indicated that with this integration it consolidates itself as a leader in multi-format retail and expands its store park in seven autonomous communities. Thus, the perimeter of the transformations includes 15 centers in Madrid, 10 in the Valencian Community, eight in Catalonia, others in Andalusia, in Galicia, in the Basque Country and in Castilla-La Mancha.
