Mango suffers a cyber attack with access to its customers’ contact information

The Spanish multinational Mango has suffered unauthorized access to its clients’ contact details used in marketing campaigns, through one of its external services. The information exposed “is limited to personal contact data used in marketing campaigns”, that is, name (without last name), country, zip code, email address and telephone number, company sources report.
Mango has explained that “everything continues to function normally” and that the company’s corporate systems have not been compromised. Likewise, he highlighted that “In no case has banking information been compromisedcredit cards, ID, passport, access credentials or customer passwords”.
The firm has activated security protocols and has notified the Data Protection Agency and Authorities. Mango recommends that customers, as a precaution, pay attention to any “suspicious communication” or requests for unusual actions both by email and phone.
The company has made the Customer Service email ‘personaldata@mango.com’ and telephone number ‘900 150 543’ available to consumers for any additional questions that may arise in relation to this leak. Mango regretted “any inconvenience that this specific incident may cause.”
