Oil exceeds $64 per barrel after Trump announced a 25% tariff on anyone who negotiates with Iran

In this way, the price of a barrel of Brent oil rose before the opening of the stock markets of the Old Continent up to $64.36, with a revaluation of 1.5% over the close of the last session and reaching the highest cost since November 20, 2025.
For its part, the price of a barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil rose 1.3% this Tuesday and was trading at $60.09, its highest level since last December 5.
So far in 2026, the price of a barrel of Brent crude accumulates a revaluation of 5%, while WTI oil rises around 4.6%.
In addition to the uncertainty following the US intervention in Venezuela and related to the open conflict between Russia and Ukraine, this Monday, Donald Trump announced the application with immediate effect of a 25% tariff to any country that does business with Iran.
“Effective immediately, any country that does business with The Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a 25% tariff on all businesses what to do with the United States of America,” Trump posted on his account on the social network he owns Truth Social.
Trump has expressed in recent days his intention to support the protests that are taking place for days in the main Iranian cities and which according to Human Rights groups have already cost the lives of more than 600 people.
