Ryanair earns 2,540 million euros in the first half of its fiscal year, 42% more than last year

Ryanair recorded a net profit of 2,540 million euros in the first six months of its fiscal year, ended on September 30, which represents an increase of 42% compared to the profits of 1,790 million obtained in the same period of the previous year, as reported this Monday by the company in a statement.

airline revenue low cost they grew by 13% between April and September 2025to 9,820 million euros, while operating costs increased by 4%, to 6,960 million euros.

In this sense, the company has explained that the increase in its profits is due to a traffic growth of 3%, reaching a record number of 119 million passengersas well as a 13% increase in rates, driven by the positive reception of Holy Week, the lower basis of comparison compared to the previous year and the recovery of rates in the second quarter.

On the other hand, Ryanair’s board of directors (in line with the company’s dividend policy) has declared a interim dividend of 0.193 euros per sharepayable at the end of February next year.

The airline has indicated that FY2026 air traffic expected to grow more than 3%reaching 207 million passengers – compared to the 206 million previously forecast – due to Boeing’s early deliveries and strong demand in the first half.

Nevertheless, Ryanair plans to “cautiously” recover all of last year’s 7% drop in fareswhich should translate into reasonable net profit growth in fiscal 2026.

“The final result for fiscal year 2026 remains subject to adverse external eventssuch as the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and the Middle East, macroeconomic disruptions and any additional impacts from repeated strikes and mismanagement by European air traffic controllers,” the company said.
