Strategy landed at the Russell Top 200
Strategy, formerly known as Microstrategy, was added today to Russell Top 200 Value Index, an index that groups the 200 largest companies for stock market capitalization in the United States. Inclusion marks a milestone for the firm led by Michael Saylor and highlights its role in the financial ecosystem through its Bitcoin -based strategy (BTC).
The addition of Strategy to Russell Top 200 occurred shortly before the company announced a new Bitcoin acquisition. As reported by the company itself, they bought 4,980 BTC for 531.9 million dollars, which raised its total holdings to 597,325 BTC.
The current value of this reserve is estimated at 63.3 billion dollars. So far this year, The accumulated profitability of this strategy has been 19.7%which reinforces the narrative of BTC as an asset of corporate reserve.
