The deadline for submitting the Income Tax ends on Wednesday for taxpayers who go out to enter and direct debit the payment.

Until this Thursday, the Tax Agency had already paid the refund of 7,300 million euros to 10,726,000 taxpayers in the 2023-2024 Income Campaign. Thus, according to the agency’s data, 20,550,000 declarations had been submitted, of which 14,433,000 with a refund request.

Taxpayers can make their declarations through the website and mobile application since last April 3since May 7 by telephone and in person since June 3.

As the Tax Agency recalls, those taxpayers who receive more than 22,000 euros per year of work income or those who, with two or more payers, exceed 15,000 euros per year and, from the second onwards, have received 1,500 euros or more.

Precisely, the main novelty of this campaign has been associated with presence, since a special plan has been launched for the preparation and presentation of income tax returns for people over 65 years of age who reside in small municipalities. The plan began on May 7 and reaches older residents in more than 500 municipalities in the 46 provinces of the common territory.

In these areas, those over 65 years of age who reserve an appointment are attended to by staff from the Tax Agency through video assistanceso that they receive the same personalized attention as any other taxpayer, but in the facilities made available by their city council, avoiding travel.
