They open free program to train developers in Bitcoin and Lightning Network
Library of Satoshi launched the call for Bitcoin 4 Open Source (B4OS) 2025, a free technical training that seeks to forge the next generation of engineers and cryptographers in Bitcoin Core and Lightning Network.
The initiative points directly to Spanish -speaking talent to break the geographical barrier and position Latin America as a global open source innovation center.
The program, which begins on September 16, is aimed at professionals who already work and will be taught in online format, asynchronous already part -time. Its objective is to accelerate learning in three phases:
- Challenge your code (45 days): During this time the participants solve programming challenges that enhance and evaluate their technical skills.
- Develop your competitions (2 months): This includes seminars and master classes on Bitcoin architecture and open source development.
- Build your portfolio (2 months): In this phase, participants contribute to key industry projects, guided by expert mentors.
It is also specified that The most prominent participants of the program will have the opportunity to join Hacker residences. This will do this traveling with all expenses covered to intensive training sessions such as Florianopolis, Guadalajara or Valencia.
There, they will collaborate in coding projects with world leaders of the Bitcoin ecosystem, promoting their professional skills and connections
Through this program, the selected ones access a comprehensive professional ecosystem, that is, they have a greater possibility of obtaining financing (GRANTS) to devote themselves full or partially to development.
They can also access remote job opportunities with payments in BTC, travel to international conferences with all covered expenses and integrate into a global network of first level Bitcoin Core developers, according to the information provided by means of a statement sent to the cryptonotic mail.
The initiative seeks candidates with professional experience from 2 to 4 years in software development, that dominate languages such as C ++, Rust, Python, Go, Scala, C or C# and show a genuine interest in contributing to the open source ecosystem. In addition, applicants must have an availability of 5 to 10 hours a week to devote themselves to the program, guaranteeing an active commitment to the proposed activities.
The organization adds that this program has the support of a robust coalition of leading organizations in the Bitcoin ecosystem, including B-Trust, Chainode, Argentina Bitcoin NGOs and Labitconf, which ensures its global quality and projection.
