Checking Gabaryan’s situation in Nigeria
This was the case of legislators French Hill and Chrissy Houlahand, who personally went to Nigeria this week and visited Tigran Gabaryan, executive of Binance detained in prison Kuje, confirming that he suffers from malaria and pneumonia, so his life is in danger.
In this regard, Senator Hill wrote in his X account a very detailed report about Gabaryan’s current situation, highlighting that in addition to the diseases he suffers from, he has also lost a lot of weight, and is denied access to specialized medical services to treat his delicate condition.
Hill acknowledged that the court dropped the tax evasion charges against Gabaryan, but criticized that he still has to remain in prison for money laundering accusations. He highlighted the history that the official had before providing services to Binance, since he worked for state agencies and dedicated a good part of his life to the fight against financial crimes.
To close his post, Hill made the following request:
Tigran should be immediately granted humanitarian release, the remaining charges dropped, and returned to the United States where he belongs.

We found him suffering from the conditions there, as he has malaria and double pneumonia, and he reports that he has lost significant weight. The situation of the Binance manager
Gambaryan has remained in prison since the beginning of April after the escape of his colleague, the regional regent of Binance for Africa, Nadeem Anjarwalla. Both officials and the exchange were accused of tax evasion, added to alleged money laundering crimes for USD $35 million.
Regarding Gambaryan’s situation, his wife, Yuki Gambaryan, expressed her concern and requested support from US organizations to achieve medical guarantees for the Binance executive. “This has gone too far. I plead with everyone who can help, including our own American government, to recognize that an innocent man’s life is at risk. Please at least let him go to the hospital to recover. But the most important thing is that he comes home to us,” he wrote in a statement.
As for Anjarwalla, he fled house arrest months ago and was captured by Kenyan authorities. It is yet to be determined whether he would be sent back to Nigeria to continue the legal process that he was already facing there.
Returning to Gambaryan, he has been denied bail on several occasions, but there is a lot of concern about his health.
