Vodafone Spain will raise its rates an average of 2.5 euros per month starting January 8

Vodafone Spain rates will become more expensive, on average, by about 2.5 euros per month (VAT included) starting January 8, 2026 due to the “significant increase” of network costs, technology and content, as explained by telecom sources.
From next week The company will begin to inform users of the updated prices, which will represent a average increase percentage of 3.9% and, depending on the contracted services, will represent an increase in the rate of between 1 and 5 euros per month.
“In the current environment of the sector, marked by a sustained increase in the cost of digital services, audiovisual platforms and network capacity, it is necessary to maintain an adequate level of investment that ensures a reliable service, safe and maximum quality”, the company sources consulted have argued.
Regarding the breakdown of the average rate increases, for mobile lines the increase is 1 euro, while for users who have only landline or fiber it is 1.5 euros. In portable internet rates 5G the average monthly increase it is 2 euroswhile for convergent packets of fiber and mobile will be 3 euros. Meanwhile, the rates that will experience the largest monthly increases are those called Unlimited Home and Unlimited Business, with an increase of 5 euros.
Added to this is that the packages that include Disney+ will have to add a euro more increase to the predetermined increase, that is, if the rate increases by 2 euros per month but includes Disney+, the total increase will be 3 euros. However, the telecom controlled by the British investment firm Zegona has emphasized that this update does not affect “social rates” or services such as Secure Net, One Number, Super WiFi or MultiSIM.
Furthermore, they have highlighted that the increase in the rate will be accompanied by the activation of a series of benefits in the mobile data section or in fiber connections (those of 300 megabytes will become 600)among other issues.
