David Martínez, Sabadell’s third shareholder, presents his resignation as proprietary director of the bank

David Martínez Guzmán, the third shareholder of Banco Sabadell, and the largest individual investor, leaves the bank’s board of directors, where he held the position of proprietary director. “David Martínez Guzmán has presented his resignation as a member of the board of directors through a letter addressed to the president (Josep Oliu), which was sent to all members at their meeting held this Thursday,” they explain in the statement sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
The businessman leaves the highest corporate governance body of the entity, of which he has been a part for more than twelve years, a period in which he has witnessed “the transformation of the bank” and takes advantage of the letter to thank the “resounding success that both the president and the competent teams that have worked for the bank have achieved.”
