El Corte Inglés reinforces its commitment to Christmas prepared dishes and launches twenty new products



The English Court has announced that its customers will be able to enjoy 22 exclusive references of dishes prepared with focused recipes to enjoy with the family during the Christmas holidays in 80 points of sale spread throughout the national territory.

El Corte Inglés will produce 228,000 units of these products – nearly 139,000 kilos – including meat and poultry, puff pastries, creams and sauces, as well as iconic desserts such as cheesecake or roscón torrija. The company serves more than 630,000 customers every Christmas, preparing lunch and dinner for more than 25,000 families, reaffirming its commitment to quality, tradition and innovation.

Among the novelties in the catalog of prepared dishes, the cream of carabineros stands out, the Iberian cheek with morel and foie sauce, the Iberian pork sirloin Wellington with Pedro Ximénez sauce and foie. roast stuffed turkey with morel and foie sauce, monkfish stew with shrimp; the salmon in puff pastry stuffed with creamed spinach, the roasted pumpkin with black sesame, the morel and foie gras sauce, and in the desserts the pionono of orange mousse and toasted mandarin cream, and the roscón de Reyes torrija with cream.

In addition to these proposals, clients can place special orders, always subject to availability, of cod cocochas al pilpil, cod cocochas in green sauce, carabineros al Palo Cortado, half a lobster with butter, garlic and parsley, half a grilled lobster and beef tenderloin Wellington.

Among the most popular prepared dishes throughout the year, the following stand out: the salad (the current recipe is number 37, which is evidence of a sustained innovation process); the croquettes and family of fried foods: finger, Villaroy brisket…; rice dishes (made from scratch at the point of sale) and traditional stews: meatballs, stews… (made in the workshop).
