Fundación Integra and Madrid Business Forum organize the 1st solidarity dinner ‘Companies for labor integration’

More than 200 businessmen gathered this week at the Wellington Hotel in Madrid to enjoy a solidarity dinner organized by the Integra Foundation together with Madrid Business Forum and which served to raise awareness among attendees of the importance of support and give a job opportunity to those people who, due to a complicated past, have not been able to find a place in the labor market.
Since 2001, Fundación Integra, an entity chaired by Ana Botella, has worked for the labor integration of people in social exclusion and with disabilities. In these years, the Foundation has offered 23,000 jobs thanks to the collaboration of 70 companies that offer job opportunities to their candidates.
In the words of Ana Botella, executive president of Fundación Integra, “reintegration into society is not possible without employment. A job means for a person: independence, security, self-esteem, new social circles, motivation. A new life for them and their families.” Likewise, he wanted to highlight that the labor integration work carried out by companies through the foundation generates a high social impact on people, on society and on the company itselfand encouraged more companies to commit to socially responsible employment.
For his part, Hilario Alfaro, president of Madrid Business Forum, highlighted that the organization, from its Competitive Social Responsibility area, supports and promotes all initiatives that seek social progress. “Since the birth of our organization we have supported and promoted a multitude of social initiatives, especially those that are aimed at generating jobs for the most disadvantaged groups,” said Alfaro.
The networking dinner featured the testimony of improvement from Edurne, one of the people who has changed her life thanks to a job, and the success story of the company that helped her achieve it: Cofares, represented by Dolores Moreno, Counselor of the company. This year, the Foundation has the objective of finding employment for 2,000 peopleand to achieve this it wants to involve more companies in its project that collaborate by hiring people with diverse talent in their staff.
