Iberdrola reaches close to 125,000 million capitalization on its 125th anniversary

Iberdrola has touched the milestone of 125,000 million in stock market value at the beginning of 2026, the year that marks the 125th anniversary of the birth of the company in Bilbao Iberian Hydroelectricthe seed of the company that gave rise to the creation of Iberdrola in 1992.
The company, which is at historical highs, appreciated by nearly 40% in 2025, closing its fourth consecutive year on the rise after the 2020 pandemic.

Hidroelectrica Ibérica was founded in Bilbao on July 19, 1901 by the engineer Juan de Urrutia and with capital from the Banco de Vizcaya. Then came its merger with Duero Falls in 1944 and subsequent merger with Hidroeléctrica Española in 1992 to form Iberdrola.
