Iberdrola receives the last authorization to launch Windanker, its third marine wind park in the Baltic



Iberdrola has received the authorization from the German federal and hydrographic federal agency (BSH) for its Windanker Marine Wind Parkthe third in the Baltico. With this authorization, Iberdrola ends the approval process of its new park, which will have 21 wind turbines with a Individual power of around 15 megawatts (MW).

As detailed by the energy on Tuesday, when it enters operation, in 2026, Windanker, which will involve an investment volume of 1,000 million euros, will have an installed capacity of 315 MW, which corresponds to the Supply of 315,000 homesequivalent to a population greater than that of the city of Seville.

The foundations of the Marine Wind Park This summer will begin to be built. This year the installation of the internal wiring of the park will also begin.
