New aid of up to 1,000 euros to buy a computer with the Digital Kit: requirements and how to apply
The Government offers aid to SMEs and the self-employed through the granting of subsidies from the Kit Digital program. The aid line, which is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, is provided with a portion of the NextGenerationEU European funds: up to 3,067 million euros intended to promote the digitalization of SMEs.
These aids, which originally granted amounts from 3,000 euros, have been modified to include a aid of 1,000 euros for self-employed workers and SMEs can be used to buy laptop or desktop computers.
Requirements for aid of 1,000 euros to buy a computer
According to the Official State Gazette (BOE), the latest modification of the Digital Kit program includes aid for the acquiring a “secure job” to “boost your productivity.” The amount of aid is 1,000 euros and is granted to companies with between 0 and 3 employees.
This aid is granted indirectly, through a voucher that must be delivered to one of the digitizing agents assigned to the program, who will be the one who buys it and transfers it to the employer or worker, who will have the right to buy it after one year of service of the Digital Kit.
To apply this helpline, The computer purchased must meet a series of technical conditions detailed in the BOE, including having 16 GB of RAM, 12 GB of SSD storage, WiFi 6 or higher, Bluetooth 5.1 or higher, 4-core processor and a maximum CPU of at least 2.9 GHz and a dedicated or integrated graphics card minimum Full HD resolution, among others.
Other requirements of the Digital Kit program are:
- Be a small business, micro-business or self-employed.
- Comply with the financial limits that define the company categories.
- Be registered with the minimum seniority established in each call.
- Not being considered a company in crisis.
- Be up to date with tax and Social Security obligations.
- Do not exceed the limit for small amounts of aid.
How to request aid from the Digital Kit and until when
To request aid from the Digital Kit it is necessary to register on the platform Accelerate SME and carry out a digital diagnosis to check the level of digitization. The program will provide solutions available to the company and the catalog of digitizing agents that offer these services.
With this diagnosis, the application must be submitted to the Red.es electronic headquarters, if you meet the requirements. Once the voucher is granted, an authorized digitizing agent must be chosen and an agreement must be signed to manage the chosen digital solutions.
