Snoop Dogg sold 1 million collectible tokens in half an hour
The non -fungible tokens collection (NFT) launched by hip hop legend, Snoop Dogg, sold out in just 30 minutes. About one million NFTs based on the style of the American rapper were sold through Telegram, generating USD 12 million in total sales.
Snoop Dogg NFTs were sold through the “Send to Gift” function, available in the application. Prices ranged between 200 and 15,000 starsan account unit used in the Telegram ecosystem. This initiative was developed on The Open Network network (TON).

Each piece is part of a collection visually linked to “Gifts”, the new Snoop Dogg song, released on YouTube on Wednesday, July 9. The music mixes, digital identity and cryptocurrency market, taking advantage of Telegram distribution capabilities.
Pavel Durov, CEO of the messaging platform, said These NFT will be available for secondary trade within 21 daysand that your minting in the Ton network will also be enabled at that time. The businessman presented the collection as a collaboration between art, technology and digital entertainment.
Although the NFT market no longer lives the boom that reached between 2021 and early 2022, the Snoop Dogg collection represents a specific exception. According to data collected by cryptootics, the number of active merchants in Ethereum reached 46,640 last June, in a rebound sign. However, the activity was rapidly reduced, with only 5,870 operators registered in later days.
