Telefónica will open this Wednesday the deadline to sign up for the ERE in Movistar+

Telephone The voluntary registration period for the Employment Regulation File will open this Wednesday, January 7. (ERE) for the workers of Movistar+, one of the seven companies affected by the workforce adjustment implemented in Spain.
In the case of the television affiliate, lThe company and the unions have agreed on 175 dismissalsbelow the 279 that Telefónica initially proposed and which represented 32% of the 860 Movistar+ workers. Employees of the payment platform will have until February 6 to sign up for the ERE.
For professionals For the other six subsidiaries affected by the file, the registration period began on December 29and will be open until January 29 in the case of related companies (Telefónica de España, Telefónica Soluciones and Telefónica Móviles) and until January 26 in the GBU companies (Innovación Digital, Global Solutions and Telefónica SA).
Once the registration period ends, the company will communicate acceptances between February 12 and 16 of voluntary marches and possible forced ones.
Telefónica has provisioned about 2.5 billion euros before taxes to face this ERE with which a minimum of 4,525 employees will leave. Of that item, 2.3 billion are reserved for Telefónica España and Movistar Plus+ and 200 million for the corporate units.
The cost per employee who leaves the company would be around 454,000 euros, above the 380,000 euros of the previous ERE of 2024, in which 3,420 workers left.
