Potatoes, white grapes and eggs They are the three basic foods that have increased the most in price in the large supermarkets in the month of October, according to price evolution data from the study carried out by Facua-Consumers in Action.
Specifically, the five-kilogram net of potatoes has experienced an average price increase of 12.7% during the last monthwhite seedless grapes (500 grams) have become 12.5% more expensive and a dozen medium eggs have become 10.3% more expensive.
At the same time, in this same period the price of trays of mushrooms (4.4% on average), orange nets (3.8%), a kilo of wheat flour (0.9%), round rice (0.5%), a package of macaroni (0.3%) and a carton of whole milk (0.1%), while there are several products that maintain the same price as the previous month: iceberg lettuce and garlic.
On the contrary, the foods that cost on average this month less than in September are: pardina lentils (-0.8%), kilo of onions (-1.3%), olive oil (-1.4%), lemons (-2.6%), sunflower oil (-3.4%), carrots (-4.2%), golden apples (-4.8%) and conference pears (-18.7%).
Eggs rise 31% in the last year
Medium eggs are the food that has increased the most in price in the last year (31% on average). Besides, lemons currently cost 22.4% more than a year agowhile the increase in the price of conference pears has been 18.6% in this same period.
Likewise, they have registered a price increase onions (16.1%), seedless white grapes (16.1%), garlic (10.2%), sunflower oil (9.7%), golden apples (8.9%), whole milk ‘brik’ (5.7%), macaroni (2.8%), oranges (2.0%), round rice (1.7%), wheat flour (1.4%), sliced mushrooms (0.9%) and iceberg lettuce (0.6%).
On the other hand, the liter of olive oil is the product that has dropped the most in price in the last year, specifically, it has done so on average by 44%, while Potatoes accumulate a drop of 9.3%, carrots 2.1% and pardina lentils 0.7% in the last 12 months.
