tickets go on sale this Thursday

Ouigolow-cost railway ticket companywill connect Barcelona and Seville with a daily high-speed journey starting on December 14 with a train that will take about 6 hours to complete the entire route and that will make stops in Zaragoza, Madrid and Córdoba.
It was announced by the general director of Ouigo Spain, Hélène Valenzuela, to present the new connection of the ‘low cost’ subsidiary of the French company SNCF Voyageurs. Tickets can be purchased from this Thursday and prices will vary depending on how early the purchase is made, starting at 9 euros.
Valenzuela has assured that the route with stops responds to a double premise: increasing the commercial offer between all cities and the availability of the railway network, managed by Adif. “At the moment this is what we have and what Adif has given us for the year 2026”he explained, while not ruling out offering a direct, non-stop connection between Barcelona and Seville if there is a lot of demand.
With this connection, Ouigo brings together six daily frequencies between the Catalan capital and Madrid and five between Seville and Madrid: “The stop in Madrid has added value”Valenzuela has defended.
This way, The subsidiary expands its offer between Seville and Madrid with two daily frequencies compared to January 2025, when the company began operating on the route with three round-trip services.
This is a route focused on students, self-employed workers and groups, as well as conventional tourists, who will offer 360,000 seats annually between both cities. The first train will leave Barcelona at 7:35 a.m. and arrive in Seville at 1:51 p.m., while the return convoy will depart at 5 p.m. and finish the journey at 11 p.m.

“With this connection we trust repeat the success that we have already seen on other routes“, celebrated the general director, who pointed out that they have the quality of service as their flag.
Asked about the company’s economic results, she said that this year there will be a positive gross operating result (Ebitda) thanks to the industrial organization and the deployment of the transportation plan.
