The Catalan businessman Jose Eliasowner of La Sirena and with an estimated net worth of 900 million euros, is a regular on social networks, where his opinions on finances and business frequently go viral.

In a recent intervention on the podcast Find your life (BLV), the billionaire and president of Audax Renovables has spoken about a topic he knows a lot about: savings. “People tell me, ‘it’s just that it’s so hard for me to save, well I don’t save“says José Elías, 49 years old, in his speech.

“Well no, since it costs you so much, what you have to do is Protect him like life itself.”adds the founder of La Sirena, a native of the Barcelona town of Badalona.

“And then there is the typical one who sends a message and tells me: ‘I have 20,000 euros‘Do you think I can start a bar or a poke shop?’ I say no, friend, no… That’s your survival, it’s your treasure,” he continued.

“What was it that we said that day in the car video, right? We said, hey yeah, you have 100,000 euros, Well, you divide, and the first 15,000 or 20,000 is your treasure and goes to a super-safe, super-liquid savings account or deposit account,” explains Elías.

“About profitability, well if they give you 2% or 3%between you and me, it doesn’t matter to me, because in the end it doesn’t matter if they give you 200 or 300 euros a year, but what you can’t do is lose it. If it’s hard for you to save, try harder,” he concludes.
