The Board of Trustees of the La Caixa Foundation has unanimously agreed to the re-election of Isidro Fainé as president and Javier Godó as vice president. The 83-year-old businessman remains at the head of an entity, which has approved a budget of 710 million to allocate to social work in 2026, with an increase of 8.4% compared to the previous year.

The statement sent this Monday includes the renewal with the status of patrons of José María Álvarez-Pallete, Luis Carreras, Isabel Estapé, María Isabel Gabarró, Eugenio Gay, Francesc Homs and Pablo Isla, as well as the appointment of Baldiri Ros, appointed by the founding entity of ‘La Caixa’, the Catalan Agricultural Institute of San Isidro. He joins to replace Xavier Brossa, who is ending his term.

The Board of Trustees has also approved the accounts for the last year, in which it allocated a total of 655 million to Social Work and served some 250,000 beneficiaries in Spain and Portugal through its direct social intervention programs.
