The price of a second-hand electric car drops to 30,626 euros

The used electric car market maintains its double dynamic: falling prices and rising demand, after the year-on-year decrease of 10.3% in the price of a second-hand electric vehicle, to 30,626 euros and a 35% increase in demand for these vehicles, according to the third quarterly report ‘Electricar VO of 2025’prepared by autos.net and the Ganvam employers’ association.
Although the fall continues, the trend shows a moderation compared to previous periods, which indicates that the market could be approaching a stabilization point After more than two years of uninterrupted declines.
In fact, in August, The year-on-year drop was 12.3% and in July it was 12%. In just over 24 months, the average price has gone from 36,827 euros registered in January 2024 to just over 30,000 euros in September 2025. This difference of more than 6,500 euros has contributed to reducing the gap between electric and combustion vehicles, making the purchase of a used electric vehicle increasingly accessible, the report highlights.
The decreases in the average price of used electric cars extend to practically all autonomous communities. The steepest declines are recorded in the Basque Country (-23.7%), Asturias (-21.1%), Galicia (-15.9%), Cantabria (-13.7%) and Valencia (-13.2%).
Only La Rioja, with an increase of 30.9%, breaks the general trend due to its low volume of supply. In the rest of the country, prices move in a range that goes from 27,935 euros in Madrid -one of the most affordable communities- up to 36,595 euros in Navarra and 34,830 euros in the Balearic Islandswhich lead the ranking of most expensive regions.
If these values are compared with those recorded just two years ago, the difference is even greater: communities thatIn 2023 they easily exceeded 35,000 euros on averagesuch as Catalonia, Andalusia or the Valencian Community, have seen how the average price has been adjusted by up to 4,000 or 5,000 euros.
For a buyer, this means that access to a used electric vehicle is around 20% cheaper today than it was just two years ago, which represents a “substantial change in the perception of this type of mobility”adds the analysis of autos.net and Ganvam.
