The price of electricity has risen almost 19% in the last year while natural gas barely grows 1.5%



He electricity price rose 2.1% monthly in October and marked a year-on-year increase of 18.7%, the largest year-on-year increase since February of this year, as seen in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data offered this Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

In addition, Electricity accumulates an increase of 11.5% throughout 2025. Regarding other energy sources, natural gas and city gas grew by 1.5% compared to October last year, liquefied hydrocarbons by 2.1% and liquid fuels are 2.6% cheaper than a year ago.

On the other hand, regarding fuels and lubricants for personal vehicles fell 0.7% monthly, same drop compared to October last year.

For fuelgasoline falls 0.8% in October and accumulates a year-on-year drop of 2.2% and diesel falls by 0.5% but is 0.7% more expensive than a year ago
