These are the cities with the most expensive taxi fares in 2024
San Sebastián, Ourense and Vitoria will become in 2024 the cities with the most expensive urban taxi rates, according to data provided by a Facua analysis. The San Sebastian municipality takes first place, while Ourense enters the top positions for the second consecutive year. Vitoria returns to the top 3 after being out of it since 2021.
The analysis of the rates on each of the routes considered in the study demonstrates a difference from 66.8% between the most expensive and the cheapest city. Furthermore, within the different tariff concepts, the differences between cities reach 328.0% in the daytime flag drop, while it remains at 244.8% at night.
The prices of these categories range, in the case of day, between 1.10 euros in Ceuta and 4.71 in San Sebastián. In the case of lowering the flag at night, the rates vary between 1.45 euros in Castellón and 5 euros paid in Girona.

35 cities increase their rates compared to 2023
Facua has detected that 35 of 57 cities have increased their rates in 2024 compared to the previous year. Most of the increases are generalized, but in some cases they only occur in some of the categories. Likewise, in Santiago de Compostela the minimum cost of the trip to the airport is 23 euros. In Barcelona and Badajoz There is a minimum amount of 21 and 20.75 euros, respectively (applied to departures from the airport).
