three out of four clients are willing to change entities

76% of bank clients would be willing to change entities, according to a survey carried out by the financial comparator HelpMyCash within the framework of its annual awards to financial institutions.
Kutxabank is the bank with the most loyal customers: 48% would not change entities. Openbank and Cajamar follow. On the contrary, the entities with the greatest number of clients willing to leave are Unicaja, Imagin, CaixaBank and Banco Santander. The large figure is in line with last year, but well above the figure for 2021, when only 56% declared themselves open to changing banks.
The main reason for making the leap to another entity is to achieve more profitability, followed by getting a gift and taking out a mortgage. Wanting to pay fewer fees as a reason to change banks has lost ground, reflecting that “more and more consumers are satisfied with their banks’ fee policy.”
Regarding satisfaction data, Revolut is positioned as the bank with the most satisfied customers, with a score of 8.4 out of 10, above the sector average (6.9 points). Eight out of ten users give it an 8 or more and, for those surveyed, it is number one in checking accounts, savings products, cards, investment products and online operations.
At the opposite extreme, UNicaja repeats as the bank with the least satisfied customers: It obtains a score of 4.2 out of 10 and 35% of its clients give it a three or less.
