Amancio Ortega will receive 1,552 million this Monday for dividends from Inditex

The founder of Inditex, Amancio Ortega, will collect 1,552 million euros this Monday for the distribution of the second dividend of the year from the largest Spanish listed company. Throughout 2025 Inditex will distribute 5,235 million through a dividend of 1.68 euros per share. This Monday, when the second half is paid, will pay 2,618 euros, 0.84 per titleto complete the payment made last May.
The aforementioned distribution is in line with the record figures achieved by the group that owns brands such as Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka or Stradivarius in its last fiscal year, when he earned 5,866 million, 9% more than a year beforeand had his third record-breaking year. The dividends that the group is distributing in 2025 represent an unprecedented amount in the history of Inditex, which last year delivered almost 4.8 billion, at a rate of 1.54 gross euros per share.
Amancio Ortega has a 59.294% stake in Inditex, so he will receive a total of 3,104 million this year; while her eldest daughter, Sandra Ortega, will receive 264 million by controlling 5,053% of the group -132 million were collected in May and the other half will be received this Monday.
In fact, there are only six companies in Spain that won in the last fiscal year more money than the majority shareholder is going to earn with dividends this year: Inditex itself, the banks Santander, BBVA and CaixaBank, the construction company Ferrovial and the energy company Iberdrola.
Participation through Pontegadea
The founder of Inditex maintains that stake in the Galician firm through the company Pontegadea, his investment arm and with which he mainly invests in the real estate sector. With it, he has invested This year more than 1,030 million in the purchase of logistics warehouses and buildings. Pontegadea earned 9,322 million last year, 17% more than the previous year, and exceeded 110 million in assets.
This group is formed by Pontegadea Inversiones, through which Amancio Ortega controls 50.01% of Inditex, Partler 2006, which owns the remaining 9.284% of the Galician firm, and Pontegadea GB 2020, intended for investments in British soil.
Therefore, beyond the dividends from Inditex, the founder of the largest Spanish textile group also obtains benefits from rental income from acquired properties by its investment arm. Ortega also receives money from the dividends of other companies in which he owns shares: Enagás (5%), Telxius (30%), Redeia (5%) or the Portuguese National Energy Networks, REN (12%).
