Iberdrola returns to the scene this Wednesday in Madrid with the recognition of the Best Business Strategy awarded by Economic Information in the first edition of the Henneo Economy and Business Awards: “It is an enormous pride to be the first winner of this edition, as it is also to be the first European electricity company by market capitalization,” its CEO in Spain recognized on stage, Mario Ruiz-Tagleas in charge of collecting the award presented by the president of Henneo, Fernando de Yarzatogether with the president of Ibercaja, Francisco Serrano.

Ruiz-Tagle has also highlighted the importance of the work they do on the competitiveness of the Spanish industry. “Hoy we are a driving company in the Spanish economy. The recognition occurs at a key moment for Iberdrola’s business: with the ambition to invest 58,000 million until 2028 (30% more than in the previous period) reflected in its new strategic plan, at a global level, in the heat of economic results that aspire to surpass all records in 2025. In the national market, its strategic roadmap projects an increase in investment in networks up to 4,000 million, around 15% more than expected.

In addition, the company has reinforced its commitment to renewables with new developments in offshore wind, photovoltaics and storage, while consolidating its presence in key markets within and outside Europe.
