The economic leaders of the Henneo group awarded Iberdrola, Fundación Cibervoluntarios, Navantia and PLD Space in a gala that put transforming companies at the center.

The Spanish economy is immersed in a profound process of transformation. The digital and green transitions are changing the country’s productive fabric at breakneck speed. and they bring with them complex challenges with unpredictable consequences. With this backdrop, Economic Information and Business Insider Spain wanted to recognize the professionals and companies that are contributing to transforming the Spanish economy in the first edition of the Henneo Economy and Business Awards.

The awards, which were created to recognize technological innovation, social responsibility and leadership in companies, were presented on Wednesday at noon at a gala held at The Palace Hotel Madrid, sponsored by Telefónica, Santander, Ibercaja, Veolia, PMI, hiberus and with the collaboration of Government of Aragon.

Economic Information recognized Iberdrola in the category of ‘Best Business Strategy’ and to Foundation Cybervolunteers in the ‘Responsible Leadership’ section. While Business Insider awarded the public company Navantia in the ‘Technological Innovation’ category and awarded the aerospace firm PLD Space an award in the ‘Smart Business’ section.

The ceremony, directed by the journalist Victoria Arnauhad a large representation from the business world, with the presence of large technological, energy, financial, academic and consulting firms.

The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, stressed this Wednesday, during the opening of the gala, the need to “value the professionals and companies that They are setting the agenda, with projects in which excellence, innovation and social impact prevail”.

Saiz added that the award-winning companies are “from economic transformation, creating opportunities and a fairer economy.” In this sense, he praised “the transformative vision of all winners: companies and professionals who do things well and do so by contributing to the common good.

The head of Social Security has highlighted the current situation in the labor market in Spain. “This week we have seen especially positive employment figures with 522,000 more affiliated people in the last year, 21.8 million members: a historical record,” she noted. For the minister, it is possible to “look with confidence at the goal of 22 million members and the main protagonists of all this are the large Spanish companies: the true transforming engine of the labor market.”

Recognition of strategy and leadership

Finally, the Spanish aerospace company PLD Spacewon recognition in the category ‘Smart Business’ for representing a new generation of companies that are placing Spain on the global map of the aerospace industry.
