The new Iberia route with the United States that takes you to Disney World

The Spanish airline thus reinforces its commitment to the US market and expands its destination network in North America. The new connection will operate with four weekly frequencies – Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday – and will offer more than 46,000 seats during this winter season.
It is the first time that Iberia flies directly to Orlando and thus becomes the only airline that connects Spain with this city non-stop. ANDThe inaugural flight took off this Sunday at 11:30 a.m. from the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport and landed in Orlando at 4:45 p.m. local time with 272 passengers on board.

In addition to its leisure offer, the city is positioning itself as a destination for MICE tourism (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) thanks to facilities such as the Orange County Convention Center.
This facility, one of the largest in the United States, has more than 200,000 square meters of exhibition and meeting spaceand hosts international events every year such as trade fairs or large corporate conferences. Cape Canaveral is also located there, linked to the space industry and cruise ships.
Iberia’s Customer Director, Beatriz Guillén, has indicated that the inauguration of this direct route to Orlando represents “a new step in Iberia’s growth strategy” in the United States, a “key market” for the company. “With this incorporation, there are now ten destinations that we offer in the country, which reinforces our position as a leading airline in connections between Spain and North America,” he stressed.
Demand at record levels
For his part, the executive director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Lance Lyttle, has indicated that they are “delighted” to welcome Iberia and has indicated that passenger demand between the two cities “has reached record levels”, which is why this new connection opens new opportunities for tourists from both regions to “explore the world”.
For his part, the general director of Disney Destinatios for Spain and Portugal, Tiago Santos, has declared that they are “very happy” to collaborate with Iberia in this initiative “which marks a before and after in the experience of Spanish visitors who travel to Walt Disney World Resort.
“This flight involves one more step in the history of the strategic alliance between our two great companies and provides an easier, faster and simpler trip to all Spanish visitors who from now on will fly straight to the magic”, concluded Santos.
Iberia operations in the US
The new route to Orlando will be operated with Airbus A330 aircraft with capacity for 292 passengers distributed among the business cabinspremium tourist and tourist.
With the addition of Orlando, Iberia has expanded its destinations in the United States to ten. In addition to this new route, the airline operates direct flights to New York, Miami, Boston, Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico and San Francisco.
During 2025, Iberia offers nearly 2 million seats between Spain and the United States and an average of 150 weekly flights.
For this winter season, the Spanish company will operate two daily flights to New York and Miami; up to two daily flights to Boston and Puerto Ricoroutes that have been reinforced thanks to the arrival of the Airbus A321XLR; and three weekly frequencies to Washington, which has gone from being an exclusively summer route to having annual operation.
The daily flight to Chicago is also maintainedthe four weekly frequencies to Dallas Fort Worth and the three to Los Angeles. For its part, San Francisco is operated as a summer route with three weekly flights from May to September.
