The price of plane tickets rises again and has already been on the rise for 13 months

As a consequence, Airline tickets rose much less than in August, when they shot up 16.8%. This was the largest increase since April, when there was an increase of 19.3% coinciding with Easter, which was the largest increase since the 20.5% in September 2008.
On international flights, banknotes rose 0.3% in Septemberafter they shot up 19.9% in the month of August, the largest increase in three years after the 22.4% increase in August 2022.
For their part, airfares to fly within Spain, which have not decreased since April 2024, they rose 6.7%, compared to 12.8% in August, to 9.7% in July and 11.9% in June, which came after the rebound of 2.4% in May and the record of 21.3% registered in April, the highest in the historical series that began in 2017, since previously the INE did not separate the data on national and international flights.
In both cases, there were the largest price falls in the historical series compared to the month of August. On domestic flights it was 22.7% and 22.4% on international flights.
