Trump announces that he will prohibit large companies from buying single-family homes in the United States

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Wednesday that he will ban large companies buy single family homes as part of its plan to address the housing crisis in the country.

“For a long time, buying and owning a home was considered the ultimate expression of the American dream. It was the reward for hard work and doing the right thing, but now that American dream is increasingly out of reach of too many people, especially young Americans,” he said in a post on his social network Truth Social.

Trump already announced last month that he planned to unveil “some of the most aggressive housing reform plans in the history of the United States.” In this sense, although he has not given details about the measure, he has pointed out that will ask Congress to convert the initiative into law.

The Republican president has stated that “It is people who live in houses and not corporations”while blaming former President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party for the inflation crisis.

The project has affected the prices of companies with investments in the housing market, such as Blackstone or BlackRock. In fact, its price at around 8:45 p.m. Spanish peninsular time leaves a 4.36% and 2.68%respectively.
