“You have to dedicate hours and hours to it until you border on madness”

The businessman Jose Eliasfounder of the group La Sirena among other projects, reflected this Friday on his X account (formerly Twitter) about the efforts that success costs with a controversial publication that has caused him some criticism.

“You can stay on the couch doing nothing and be happy. But don’t expect the result of working 16 hours a day. I deeply respect those who choose a quiet life. Even the one who is perfectly happy touching your balls at home. Truly, each person chooses how they want to live their life,” Elías begins.

The billionaire continues: “What I don’t respect is that whoever decides to stay on the couch Aim to have the same result as the one who dedicates 16 hours a day. That’s where the equation doesn’t work out. If you want to be exceptional, you have to obsess. In my head there has never been room for not being the best.”

“And to get to that point: You have to dedicate hours and hours to it until you border on madness. You’re going to leave feathers along the way. Excellence is never free. To say otherwise would be lying,” adds José Elías.

“You don’t have to be the most obsessive in the world or seek to be number 1. I understand that many people don’t want to pay that toll. But be consistent: You either pay the price of obsession or enjoy the peace of mind. But don’t want the prize of the first with the effort of the second,” concludes Elías.
